Titles are Hard

Hi all. In the midst of the political posts and outbursts I have recently seen on the wonderful digital world we like to call the Internet, I saw something today that I sure did like. It was a list of things you can do by yourself. Now I know what you are thinking, “Paige, doesn’t posting this on the internet for everyone to see defeat the purpose of the  project?” No, I don’t think it does, imaginary web friend. Swiftly moving on, one of the things on that very list caught my eye. It told me to, “Make a list of the way you want to feel.”

I will be the first one to tell you that I feel pretty selfish taking to my blog and not talking about everything that is happening with our country and everyone else involved. I just thought maybe you had seen enough of that for now, enough for it to be okay that I skipped that part and did something other than rant about my personal beliefs. Okay, I may be contradicting myself again, but whatever. You can’t choose what inspires you, only the way you express that inspiration. With all of that bullshit out of the way, here is a list of things that my icy soul wants to feel someday, maybe. I don’t know, leave me alone.

  1. Happy (stupidly obvious)
  2. Actually HAPPY, not whatever the fuck this frumpy society is trying to pass for being blissfully blind of their own emotions.
  3. Understood
  4. Misunderstood, for my punk alter ego that doesn’t always get her chance to shine
  5. Awake
  6. Bold
  7. Sophisticated
  8. Open-minded
  9. Thankful, not Frightful
  10. The good kind of Terrified
  11. Even-Handed
  12. Musically inclined
  13. Helpful, opposed to Helpless
  14. Is this list getting too long?
  15. Shit are you getting bored?
  16. Completely Isolated
  17. Present
  18. Insignificant
  19. Omniscient
  20. Appreciated (I mean, who doesn’t? Of course it’s selfish guys, lay off.)
  21. Unique
  22. Whimsical
  23. I want to feel my Excitement split me in half.
  24. The way an artist feels when they share their creations. I don’t really know what word I could put to describe that very feeling. Maybe Artistic?
  25. Unpredictable, but also Predictable to avoid confusion
  26. Effortless
  27. Adrenaline
  28. Proud of my friends and close acquaintances
  29. This is harder than it looks.
  30. Alive, in every aspect of the word

There you have it, a useless list of things I might want to feel in my life. Some are very similar to each other, but I’m not gonna change any of them. Deal with it, pal. This was not supposed to be as half-assed as it turned out to be, but talking about yourself gets really boring really quickly. The reason for my writing may be selfish, but the only thing I got out of it was my realizing that out of all of these feelings, the only ones that matter are the ones that I allow myself to feel. If my buddies are reading, I want you to try this. It makes you prioritize yourself and the way you want to be, literally. So quit reading this garbage sack of a post and write down what YOU want to feel. When did this blog turn into a motivational outlet? I can’t answer that, but I do promise it will never happen again. Alright see ya later!

Side Note: You people have no idea how hard it was for me to decide against putting punctuation behind all of those bullet points.

Side Note #2: I had the perfect opportunity to make a Trump joke with my use of the word Frumpy in the second bullet point. Aren’t you proud of me for resisting the urge? Wait, does this count? Forget it.

Side Note #3: I want to start requesting songs for you to listen to in these to further my unnecessary presence in your musical opinions. This post’s SOTD (song of the day) is Aphasia by Pinegrove. I will link my favorite version in my Facebook posts.

All bye for real now! Love you.

Stay Radical. Stay Gnarly.
