Minneapolis Mosey

Hello internet readers, this is your pal Paige Alys.

I’ve been gone for some time, as usual, to find something else to look at as I live my life haphazardly. For now this means I survived my first half winter in lonely Minnesota! That being said, it did also snow again today and will again tomorrow so we may still have a fight after all. But I made it!

After living with my lovely parents for what feels like another lifetime, it felt like time to take flight once again on my own. My summer and autumn in Montucky were fabulous to say the least. After reconnecting with some old friends and spending time with some new ones, I left with everything that I could fit in my new-to-me green Subaru like the true Montanan I was raised to be. I had to leave a few key items behind, like a real bed and my guitar, but it’s safe to say that I have been getting a little better at ukulele since and my back is finally getting used to my blowup mattress my parents so willingly let me borrow. Though I can’t say the same for my hips.

So far Minneapolis has been exactly what I expected, cold and snowy. The sun has started to shine brighter though as we near the beginning of spring which I’m sure everyone appreciates. I am still trying to wake my brain up after hibernation and that has been my biggest struggle.

I’d really hate to bring conversation about jobs into this blog because that defeats the purpose, so I won’t give details other than I am looking to do something of substance this time around and hopefully make some money along the way if I can. Keep your eyes peeled for some music and maybe some other creative outlets to take ahold of me sooner rather than later.

Alright that’s really all I have for ya’ll. I am sorry for not writing more this past year. It has truly been one to remember and maybe I will have more thoughts as we round it out and I find comfort in everyday life again. Thanks always from the top and bottom of my heart for reading, whoever you are. Will update you soon!

In the meantime, keep talking to the skies and begging for summer because I for one am tired of this shit.

Stay Radical and go buy shorts in preparation,

Paige Alys

Give their new album Morbid Stuff a listen if you wanna stay my friend. If you don’t, you are dead to me. BYE!

PS: Here’s a really old photo of our view outside 15 Meadow Court! Only real fans will remember that old truck and those always dead trees. Shout out to my Glasgow friends and my family for hanging out 24/7 in the basement. Good times.

  1. I mean I’m not your aunt Gayle, but I can relate about this horrific winter. And I don’t live in Minnesota. Also you keep being you kid, and I will love vicariously through you! Love Kay
